This is a dresser I picked from the trash. Tons of stickers on it but in very good shape. This is what it looks like now....
Added a mirror painted with chalk paint and then made it into a giant planter.
Picked up this set at a yard sale real cheap. Here they are in the process of being painted off white. They were also missing seats and backs, so my hubby cut them out of plywood and I painted them the same green as the dresser.
Here they are in my garden.
( excuse the hose, had to keep the garden alive!)
Also found this desk in the trash. The things people throw out!! This piece is in great shape! The veneer is peeling off, though.
We had a visitor to see my garden, Mighty Joe, a Bernese Mountain Dog. He is sooooo huge!
Then he noticed the cat.....things went south real quick! All's well, the cat survived.
Just a few blooms this month.
Not a bloom but colorful all the same.
It finely rained today. I think it was 11 drops. "Sigh"
Oh well, I'll be draggin' hose again.
Till next time.
I'll be partaying at these blogs;

enJOYed viewing your beautiful yard and seeing your smart uses of old things. I think that makes a yard so quaint. You have such a green thumb. I just manage to keep things alive, esp during a hot, drought year.
You have some fabulous finds and you worked them beautifully!

Great trash finds, I recently got two fabulous lamp shades a man was on his way to the dump with. He also gave me a quilt! I plan to re-do the lamp shades and cut up the quilt for projects!
Free is the best price and I always will pay it forward!
Smiles, cyndi

WOW!! I love your new treasures! They all are looking spiffy! :) Hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend! Pretty garden you have too! xo Holly
Your garden dresser looks so sophisticated now -- quite a transformation. I chuckled when you mentioned your hose -- mine was a permanent fixture in the garden as well. Had to water daily with the hot summer we had this year.
Visiting from Home and Garden Thursday.

Hi,
I found you from the link party at Primp.
I find perfectly good things in our recycle center as well. Good for you for saving them from the land fill!
I like your blog and will visit again.

Love the Berner! Garden flowers are pretty! Great idea -- the dresser planter!
I love your garden furniture! I have been on the lookout for an old chest of drawers for a while now to do something like that with, but I am yet to find one I am happy with.
What a handsome fella! Thanx for partyting at my place!
I love the dresser and the garden set! They look they were both made for that spot. I too was thinking, the things people throw out with the trash. At first when I saw the pic of the dog I thought, "Goodness, hope she didn't find him in the trash" lol! Can't wait to see what you do with the table. Thanks so much for sharing with Share Your Cup. I will be featuring you this week.
Hugs,
Jann
Wow - this looks fantastic - what a wonderful transformation - Love the furniture in the garden. I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday
Kathy
Such wonderful finds! I love how you transformed the dresser and the blackboard so cute with the writing. I have the same little bistro set. I bought it new at Sears about 40 years ago! Be careful with the plywood seats outdoors, my hubby replaced ours and a guest sat in it this summer and the wood broke! A surprise look, but alot of laughs!
Your yard looks lovely!
